Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a child of a mixed-race family from South London in England. She has a father who is Nigerian and Swiss as well as her mom is English. She grew up in the south of a London community estate, where she attended The Brit School at age 14. She was a student at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an acting BA. She was on stage in several productions as a student such as King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. Since then Madekwe's appearance in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe made her debut motion-picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. She then appeared in Elisha in an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie for six episodes of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. Also, the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl was her first appearance in 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe also played the lead character in How to lose friends & betray people, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment the year 2008. Her theatre credits includes Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe made her debut in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama series aired in the US on The CW for only two episodes, before it was ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. In late May 2013, it was announced that Madekwe who had been a series regular in the past two seasons, had decided to quit the show after a guest-appearance in the premiere episode of the season's new episode. Madekwe starred as Tituba in the TV show Salem between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg in June 2012. The two have collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he was also on the show with Madekwe in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty and four older brothers, Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball parks since her brothers, who were all athletic, played baseball, hockey, and both in the summer and winter. Ashley was unable to walk, but danced. In the end, when she turned 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. It was then that she discovered Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley continued to compete throughout high school with top divisions like ballet, tap, Jazz, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and much more. Top soloists at big competitions, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
