Madekwe is a child of a mixed-race family from South London in England. She has a father who is Nigerian and Swiss as well as her mom is English. Her theatre credits includes Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe made her debut in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama series aired in the US on The CW for only two episodes, before it was ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty and four older brothers, Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram.
